Recipe: Baked Chicken Parmesan

An easy weeknight meal that’s always a hit without fail: baked chicken parmesan. Healthy, filling, bubbly and delicious, this meal takes about 20 minutes to make from start to finish, and yields enough for leftovers. Ariel made this up one night when she was pressed for time and had to feed her and her husband quickly with limited offerings in the fridge, and it’s turned out to be a family favorite.


INGREDIENTS:

1 can Rao’s Marinara Sauce 

1 lb boneless skinless chicken breasts 

Mozzarella, sliced 

Parmesan cheese 

Salt

Pepper

Garlic Powder 

Red Pepper Flakes

DIRECTIONS:

Coat the bottom of a cast iron skillet or other deep pan with some marinara sauce. Place the chicken breasts on top of the sauce and coat with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Add more sauce on top of the seasoned chicken, then add a layer of sliced mozzarella on top of the chicken. Add another layer of sauce on top of the sliced mozzarella. Sprinkle Parmesan, salt, pepper and red pepper flakes on top of the final layer of sauce. Bake at 350 for 30ish min.
